Sue Lorraine is interested in the wonders of nature and the many ways in which nature adapts to changes in environment. She is also interested in how nature is represented by museums, whose methods include collecting lots of specimens to show subtle changes within a species. Reusing and reclaiming common objects, Sue Lorraine has created works such as a series of fictional insects, exploring the parallel between Darwin’s theory of natural selection and the inbuilt redundancy of modern consumer goods.
