Annelies Planteydt is known for her necklaces which she has been making for several decades now. Golden ones which hang around the neck like a Baroque waterfall along with more minimalist and restrained ones from patinated silver and tantalum. In recent years her necklaces usually allude to street maps or architecture. When placed on a surface they form abstract patterns, when worn they are flexible volumes. The adding of pigment or pearls lends colour contrasts to the pieces.
